I paint both portraits and abstract themes, but they both represent the same thing: melancholy and chaos of a human mind.
I don't plan or design my works beforehand. Often an abstract work turns into a portrait and vice versa. My method of working requires the loss of control: I use very wet paints and the movements of water on canvas cannot be fully predicted. The people in my works are like strangers that come to me, instead of me giving them birth. My art is like life itself: you can plan in beforehand, but the outcome will be something else nevertheless.
